Next Step Leader Mentoring (previously known as the Entreprenurial Leadership Excelerator or ELE) pairs aspiring leaders with local entrepreneurs and executives in a "mentor-mentee" relationship.
Next Step Leader Mentoring offers an unparalled opportunity for highly individualized, high-level, unique leadership development experience. Next Step Leader Mentoring concentrates on life of leading rather than any prescribed set of leadership "skills" or traits. Participant surveys from our fifty graduates over the past four years show profound personal transformations are spurred by the program's content with the one-on-one mentoring relationships resulting in life changing experiences. Many have advanced in their careers, started their own businesses or have taken their organizations in new directions. Most mentor-mentee relationships persist long beyond the boundaries of the program.
The program is designed for those who have "tasted" leading and want a framework for pursuing the life of a leader. Using a proprietary curriculum and mentoring process developed by Arch of Leadership (www.archofleadership.com), mentors and mentees meet one-on-one at least monthly for eight months. Participants also gather for four group events where the life of leading is examined through insightful exercises, personal dialogue and guided activities. The group events include community luncheons providing a stimulating format for current and former Next Step Leader Mentoring participants, community professionals, and the speaker to reinforce leadership topics.
Next Step Leader Mentoring provides a step-by-step method for assessing one's own ability to lead on a personal, confidential, exploratory and self-critical way. The process also helps participants decide whether or not leading is the right role, and if now is the right time to assume that role.
